Directions to our meeting place: Take 190 (east from Copperas Cove or west from Killeen) to the Clark Street exit.  Turn  south on Clark Street, and pass through the check-point onto West Fort Hood. Make the first left past the well-lit Shopette on your left, and another immediate left into the parking lot of a small brown building (The Montague Community Life Building).  This area is well lit and only a short distance once you pass the checkpoint, so there's no worry of getting lost!
Driver's License:  A licensed driver can obtain a Texas Driver's License for $20 at the Visitor Control Center near the main gate.  The cost is $20, and there's an ATM machine nearby in case you forget to bring cash.  New drivers can also apply for their license and be tested at this same location.
Vehicle Registration for Fort Hood: Fort Hood vehicle registration stickers for the windshield of your car can be obtained at the Visitor Control Center near the main gate.  You will need your military ID, vehicle registration and proof of insurance.
Phantom Pass for entering Ft. Hood: Phantom Express is the new Access Control Point (ACP) automated access control system on Fort Hood. For more information check out the website link below or Call (254) 532-9599.Use your AKO account to access the Phantom Express website.
Tri-Care: Their office is located in a trailer across the parking lot from Darnell Medical Center.
PX and Commissaries: Fort Hood's size requires more than one of each. Please refer to the Fort Hood map for PX and Commissary locations.
BLORA: Among an array of other activities hosted by MWR, military families assigned to Fort Hood have access to BLORA (the Belton Lake and Outdoor Recreation Area), which your family will love.  Aside from beaches, boats and playgrounds, there is horseback riding, camping and much more.  Click here to learn more about all MRW activities.
Housing: We don't want to pretend that we have the answers about housing at Fort Hood that the Housing Office, but we do want to provide the information that will take your directly to their office.  Click here!
