Q: When and where does the ESC meet?A: The ESC General Membership Meetings are usually held on the fourth Thursday of each month at 7 pm, at the Montague Village Community Life Bldg. #70000 on West Fort Hood. Click here for a map of Fort Hood. During the remodeling of the Montague Community Life Building, our meeting locations/times may vary. Please check the "Events" page for the latest information. |
Q: What does the Club do?A: The goal of the ESC is to promote the welfare and significantly advance and improve the quality of life for soldiers and family members at Fort Hood. At the same time, we provide a forum for enlisted spouses to spend time together and have fun. |
Q: Who can join?A: The ESC is an organization consisting of spouses of military personnel, E-1 through E-9, active duty and retired. The success of the Club is due in part to the diverse membership. The wisdom and strength of those familiar with military life is combined with the energy and fresh ideas of the new spouses to the military, creating an atmosphere unlike any other. |
Q: Can dependant family members of enlisted soldiers join?A: Unfortunately, only the Spouse of an Enlisted Soldier can join the ESC. The Spouse is welcome to bring the dependant parent as a guest but they will not be able to become a full member. |
| Q: What influence does the club have on the Ft Hood Community? A: The ESC donates thousands of dollars each year to the Fort Hood and surrounding communities. We sponsor several fund raising events in order to donate money to worthwhile charitable organizations and agencies. Numerous people have been helped through our donations to organizations including: Fort Hood USO, Fort Hood Santa's Workshop, Boy and Girl Scouts, Fort Hood Military Family Member Scholarship Fund, the Killeen Hope Pregnancy Center and the Killeen Home and Hope Shelter. |
| Q: Do volunteer opportunities exist within the club? A: There are many areas within the Club to volunteer, such as the Executive Board, Committee Chairs, Community Services Representatives, Fundraisers, and Club functions. As you can see, there are a number of ways to help support the ESC, the military, and the Fort Hood community, while making new friends and having fun. The choice is yours! We look forward to having you join our family as we work together to make Fort Hood “The Great Place” even better. |
| Q: How can I request a club representative to speak at a function? A: We would love to speak to Family Readiness Groups, or any other group interested in hearing about the Enlisted Spouses' Club. Please email your speaker requests to our President as far in advance as possible, so we can accommodate your request. |
